About six  or seven years ago when we still had Milo as our pet cat, my little brother opened  the kitchen door and let him out. So Dad and I went out to go after him, and just as we got off the porch, we saw Milo chasing a wild rabbit. I wanted to stop him, but Dad stopped me and made me watch. (Great dad huh? =_= ) Both Milo and the rabbit were running so fast that we had to use a stop motion camera to see what was going on. I kept yelling at Milo to leave it alone while dad was yelling, “GOOD KITTY, CATCH THAT RABBIT!” (Again, great dad =_= ). Of course I smacked him on the shoulder.

Milo was running so fast  that he was so close to catching the rabbit and had it pinned against the fence and was about to go for the kill. When suddenly the rabbit laid sprawled on the ground, crawled under the fence as fast as it could and popped out on the other side. Milo stopped about ten or twenty feet away from the fence all stunned like “WHAT THE CATNIP JUST HAPPENED! HOW DID HE DO THAT! This rabbit is magic,” still trying to figure it out for about a minute or two. Dad and I were just laughing our butts off. After that I got Milo and brought him back inside.

About the time when the rabbit escaped, I could’ve sworn that it flipped Milo off after popping out on the other side of the fence and was like “LATER, DOC!” and hopped away. However, Dad thinks it escaped and fled like heck, but I know that’s not true.

That was a scene we would never forget. We also learned something from that day, like that rabbits aren’t one of the world fastest animals and are the best escape artist from cats ever.
